I can’t believe that it’s time to say good bye to 2016 and hello to 2017. It seems like just yesterday that I bid good bye to 2015. Time seems to fly right by. So it’s time to reminisce the Best of 2016.

Year 2016 will down as the most eventful year for ‘Cook’s Hideout’. I migrated from blogger to Cucumbertown — a move that took me almost 2 months to reformat all the old posts. It was a great food blogging platform, but my experience with them was very short because CT said Goodbye after just 2 months I migrated.

I migrated to WordPress after that and I have to say that I am done moving for now. It has been quite a roller coaster ride and a lot of learning. Thanks to my husband and my lovely Blogging marathon buddies that the transition was less painful. I hope in 2017 I can cook, bake, eat, feed, post and enjoy. Here’s a quote I loved:

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day. – Edith Lovejoy Pierce’

Here’s a recap of the dishes that I enjoyed making and eating for the first time this year. I have included a few because I really loved how the pics turned out. My Best of 2016
