Best of 2017 — a compilation of the best recipes that I enjoyed making and eating in 2017!!
2017 has been one of the busiest year of my life. A big unexpected move from New Jersey to North Carolina took up most of the year and keeping me away from blogging for a few months. But once I got settled into the new house, I got right back to blogging. Big thanks to Valli and the BM bloggers for being there all the time. Thanks to my family and my readers for your feedback and constant support.
Here are some of my 10 favorite dishes that I enjoyed making and eating this year:

Hot Chocolate Affogato: This is a great dessert/ drink to make for kids parties. Hot chocolate is poured onto vanilla ice cream scoop and served right away.

Yemeni Kubaneh: This was part of the A-Z Bake Around the World mega marathon we did in April. This is a gorgeous pull apart bread from Yemen. The top of the bread is crispy with a soft, squishy insides. It is great to serve as is or with some jam.

Namoura (Lebanese Semolina Dessert): This is a easy to make Lebanese dessert. Rich and dense with semolina cake doused in rose water flavored sugar syrup. It is a great make ahead dessert.
Candy Bar Cake: This is a moist & delicious treat made with chocolate cake layers that are soaked in milky caramel sauce and then topped with Malted milk chocolate frosting and chopped candy. It is a rich and decadent dessert perfect for Birthday parties.
Vegan Chocolate Beet Cake: This is a super moist and has a fudgey brownie like texture. It’s great to make for birthdays or any special occasion that calls for a decadent cake.

Detroit Style Cheese Pizza: This is a cheesy and delicious dish that is sure to WOW everyone. Chewy crust, yummy tomato sauce and cheesy top — perfect pizza for any time of the day!!
