A-Z Culinary Journey through Indian States Recap (Indian Food Odyssey Recap)

Indian Food Odyssey is a culinary journey through the Indian states and selected union territories. It has been quite a journey, I have to say, that I thoroughly enjoyed taking. A lot of Googling, Wikipedia reading went into this. Here’s a recap of the 30 dishes I made for this series: Andhra Pradesh — Madatha Kaaja: Arunachal Pradesh — Thukpa:

Kid’s Delight-5 Ingredient Fix Roundup

Finally I’m here with the Kid’s Delight-5 Ingredient Fix roundup. First off big thanks to Valli for letting me host the event. Thanks to all of you who have sent your delicious dishes to the event. My special thanks to my non-blogging friends and cousins who took time out of their busy schedules to cook, take pictures and write about their kid’s favorite dishes. As Priya said in her email that this is not a tough theme, but it definitely makes you think about what we are feeding our kids. Basically my concept is ‘less is more’ and that holds…

Dish It Out-Eggplant & Tomato Round Up

First off a big thanks to Vardhini @ Cooks Joy for letting me host Dish It out. Ingredients I chose for this edition were eggplant and tomato. I received some delicious creations from fellow bloggers that I can’t wait to try all the dishes. Here are the entries I received: First up is Sagari @ Passionate Chef who sent her delicious Vankaya Masala (Spicy Eggplant in Tomato Gravy). Love the way she stuffed those green beauties and cooked them in the tomato gravy. A must try. Next up is this famous North Indian Baigna Bhartha from Goddess of Spices’ kitchen….

First and foremost, big Thank you to Valli for giving me the opportunity to host Kid’s Delight event. Thank you to all of you for sending in ‘deceptively delicious’ entries. Finally my apologies for delaying the round up for this long. I received a total of 45 entries and I’ve almost all of them bookmarked to try very soon. I loved the way how some…

MBP April-One Pot Wonders

I love to blog hop to all my favorite blogs at least once a week to see what is cooking in their kitchens. The advantage of reading through blogs is you know for sure that recipe worked for them (or not), unlike cooking shows on tv or reading recipes in a magazine or cookbook. Coffee (@ The Spice Cafe) came up with this idea of blog hopping and recreating the recipes in our own kitchens and posting about them on a different theme every. She passed on the baton for hosting the MBP event beacuse of her work commitments. I’d…
