Blogging Marathon# 62: Week 1/ Day 1

Theme: Kid’s Delight — Chocolate

Dish: Chocolate-Banana Pancakes

Today’s dish combines 2 of my kids favorites — chocolate and pancakes. I’ve made pancakes with chocolate chipsbefore but never entirely with chocolate. Eating these feels like eating dessert for breakfast which I must admit was thoroughly enjoyed by all (including me).

I think chocolate and banana are made for each other, they complement each other very well. I used wholewheat pastry flour to make these pancakes, but you can go all-purpose flour route or even use a mix of all-purpose and wholewheat flours.

I made some blueberry compote to serve with the pancakes. Recipe is from Food network and you can simply combine all the ingredients and let it cook while you are making the pancakes.

I’m sending these pancakes over to Kalyani who is hosting this month’s Kid’s Delight event with ‘Chocolate’ as the theme.

  3. Absolutely love that tall stack of pancakes. Looks delicious Pavani and I love working with whole wheat pastry flour.
