  • 1 large head Broccoli – cut into florets
  • 2 tbsps Butter margarine Vegan or trans fat-free – (I used Earth Balance butter)
  • 2 cloves Garlic – finely minced
  • 2 tbsps Parsley Fresh – chopped
  • ¼ cup Almonds Slivered – toasted (optional)
  • ¼ tsp Red pepper flakes – (optional)
  • to taste Salt Pepper &

Buttery Garlicky Broccoli
Instructions
  1. Steam or microwave broccoli until crisp-tender. I microwaved for about 3 minutes. If steaming, then steam for about 4~5 minutes.
  2. Melt butter in a large saute pan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic, red pepper flakes and salt and cook for 1 minute or until garlic is fragrant.
  3. Stir in the parsley and 1tbsp water.
  4. Add the steamed broccoli and toss to coat. Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with the toasted almonds (if using) just before serving.
