  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Sugar Regular
  • ½ cup Apple sauce Unsweetened
  • 1 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 % ¼ cups Milk
  • 3 Bananas – medium, mashed
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Walnuts Cashews & – chopped

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar

  • 1 % ¼ cups Milk

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 18 muffin tins with paper cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk the two flours, sugars and baking soda in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine applesauce, oil and vanilla essence.
  4. Fold applesauce mixture into the flour mixture with a spatula or wooden spoon until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts into the batter.
  5. Fill prepared muffin tins 2/3 full with the batter. Bake 25-30 minutes or until the cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes, then unmold onto wire rack to cool.
