  • 1 cup Besan (Chickpea flour)
  • 1/2 cup Spinach – chopped
  • 1/2 cup Onion – thinly sliced
  • 3 – 4 Chilies Green
  • 1 tsp Chili powder Red
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • to taste Salt

Palak Pakoda (Spinach Fritters)
Instructions
  1. If you are using frozen, thaw spinach and squeeze out the water completely. If using fresh, finely chop the spinach.
  2. Add all the ingredients to the flour, add water to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil, about 1″ high in a frying pan, add batter with a tablespoon (to make same size fritters) and fry till golden brown on medium heat.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon onto a paper-towel lined plate.
  5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
