BM# 68-Cooking Carnival: Day 23
Theme of Week 5: Fruit based Desserts
Dish: Orange Posset

But now it is being served as a dessert and instead of using ale or wine, citrus fruit juice is used to make the dessert. Basically cream is brought to a boil and then off heat fresh orange juice is stirred into it. Then the mixture is allowed to chill for a few minutes or until set.

Both my kids love oranges and I usually buy the seedless variety for them. This dessert came about when I bought 2 bags of clementines and I had to use them up.

I make lemon posset quite often, so I wanted to try and see if orange juice would do the same magic. It worked beautifully and I had a creamy and delicious dessert ready in few minutes. Perfect to serve at summer parties or at any party for that matter.
