BM# 81: Week 2/ Day 2
Theme: Diwali Savories and Sweets
Dish: Quick Oats Chiwda
Today I have Quick Oats Chiwda recipe that is easy to make and is perfect to make for Diwali if you are short of time. Oats are very healthy, versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes. They have recently become a regular pantry ingredient in most households — so this crispy and crunchy snack can be made in no time. For the next 2 days I had couple of elaborate dishes planned but things are not going as I planned. I still have quite a few boxes to open and time management has become a challenging task now. Between dropping and picking up the kids and running random errands around the house, I couldn’t find the time to make my bookmarked recipes for this week. But I am glad I found this quick oats chiwda recipe on Veg Recipes of India. I was in and out of the kitchen in less than 15 minutes. Even poha chiwda or murmure chivda are quick and easy to make but I didn’t have either thin poha or mumure at home, so quick cooking oats took their place. This chiwda turned out spicy, crunchy and delicious. I am sure you can’t stop eating this irresistible snack. Store it in an airtight container for up to a week, so you have something to munch when hunger strikes. It’s guilt free and like I already said super yummy.
