  • 4~5 cups Challah or Brioche or Hearty White Bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Large Eggs, whisked
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4~5 cups Challah or Brioche or Hearty White Bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Large Eggs, whisked
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Bread Pudding using Challah Bread
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly brush a baking dish or mini baking dishes with melted butter.
  2. In a small saucepan, warm milk, butter, vanilla, sugar and salt. Continue cooking just until the butter melts. Cool slightly.
  3. Add the bread cubes to the baking pan/ pans.
  4. Add the eggs to the cooled milk mixture and whisk until well combined.
  5. Pour the custard over the bread.
  6. Bake for 30~45 minutes or until the custard is set and the edges of the bread have browned.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
