Tiranga Sandwich

This Tiranga Sandwich is a colorful and delicious dish to make for Indian National holidays like Republic day or Independence day.

Ingredients

  • 4 Whole grain or whole wheat Bread slices

Green Layer:

  • 2 tsp Mint Chutney*
  • 4~6 Cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Baby Arugula or Baby Spinach

White Layer:

  • 1 tbsp Grated Paneer or Ricotta Cheese
  • ½ tsp Chaat Masala
  • ½ tsp Lemon juice
  • To taste Salt & Pepper

Orange Layer:

  • 2 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Spicy Ketchup (I used Maggie spicy tomato ketchup)
  • 1 Small Tomato, thinly sliced

Instructions

Green Layer:

  • Spread mint chutney on one side of the bread slice. Top it with cucumber slices and baby greens on top. Place the second bread slice on top.

White Layer:

  • Mix grated paneer (or ricotta cheese), chaat masala, lemon juice, salt and pepper until combined.
  • Spread the ricotta cheese mixture over the second bread slice. Top it with the third bread slice.

Orange Layer:

  • Mix mayonnaise with spicy ketchup. Spread the mayo on the third bread slice and arrange the tomato slices. Top with the final bread slice and press lightly. Cut the sandwich in half and Enjoy!!
