Pidatha Kinda Pappu

This is a spicy, crunchy and very addictive snack that is widely sold on the beaches of India.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Murmure
  • 1 cup Fried Corn Poha (sold as corn flakes in Indian stores)
  • ½ cup Thin Sev
  • 3 tbsp Red Onion, finely chopped
  • 1~2 Green Chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 Medium Tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
  • 2 tbsp Putnalu (dalia)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Lime juice
  • To taste salt
  • ½ tsp Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp chaat masala

Instructions

  • Combine onions, green chilies, tomatoes, peanuts, putnalu (dalia), ground cumin, chaat masala and salt. Mix well.
  • Stir in murmure, fried corn poha, sev and lemon/ lime juice. Mix well and serve immediately.
