Easy breezy crescent cinnamon rolls made with store bought crescent dough are just perfect when you are craving something sweet for breakfast.

Cinnamon Rolls using Crescent DoughFor the last day of this week’s mega marathon under breakfast theme, I have a sweet treat that is a breeze to make. These easy crescent cinnamon rolls take less than 10 minutes of hands on time. They are great for those mornings when you are craving something sweet. This recipe uses store bought crescent roll dough and it cannot get easier than that to make this scrumptious breakfast.Cinnamon Rolls using Crescent DoughIn the original, my very first list I made, of the dishes to make for Mega marathon I had some baked breakfast treats. I had been planning to make Swedish cinnamon rolls and a savory breakfast casserole for a very long time and I thought this would be the perfect time. But as luck would have it, life got in the way and as it got closer to the post date, panic set in - original list went out of the window and a bare bones version of it emerged.Cinnamon Rolls using Crescent DoughSo this quick and easy crescent cinnamon rolls were born both out of necessity (to use the tube of store bought crescent dough) and to appease my kids request for cinnamon rolls. Recipe idea is from The Kitchn site. All you need is a tube of crescent dough - I used Pillsbury brand and if you didn’t already know this is a vegan product. I’m not saying these are healthy but I guess we can all indulge once a week, right??Cinnamon Rolls using Crescent DoughAdding orange zest to cinnamon sugar adds so much flavor and makes these rolls delicious extra special. The whole batch was gone in a matter of minutes. Great for breakfast, brunch, tea time snack or just about any time when sweet craving strikes.

We take a little breather tomorrow and will be back on Monday with a brand new theme and more yummy dishes. So Stay tuned. Until then, here's a recap of the breakfast dishes I made this week:
    Day 1 - Podi Idli
Day 2 - Appam with Stew
Day 3 - Spring Vegetable Kedgeree
    Day 4 - Overnight Oats - 2 ways
Day 5 - Open Face Egg Sandwich

That is a fantastic idea to use the readymade crescent rolls here. I would love the flavor of orange zest in cinnamon sugar. And no I didn't realize that the dough was vegan until you pointed it out 🙂

These cinnamon rolls is what I'm now craving for with a cup of coffee, doesn't matter if its late at night. I should try ready made crescent roll pastry when I'm next in Canada. Makes baking delicious breakfast goodies easy.

I love having a crescent dough, puff pastry, and filo in the freezer all the time!! Never know when you might need it. I like making my own but sometimes time is just not a luxury and the freeze becomes a blessing.
