    South Indian

    I love my South Indian roots - the food, culture and everything in between. There are 5 states in south India - Andhra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu & Karnataka.

    I am from Andhra & Telangana. So, many of my recipes are from this region. This Andhra gutti vankaya kura is my all time favorite. This Poornam boorelu reminds me of my mom and her delicious cooking. Then I have my MIL's miriyala chaaru, which is a family favorite.

    Moving to Tamil Nadu, I have a simple vegetarian Tamil Nadu thali made from this region and all of the dishes are scrumptious.

    Then there's god's own country Kerala and my absolute favorite is this Appam and this delicious Egg curry.

    Karnataka has the most variety of snacks and desserts in all of the South Indian states. My personal favorite is this Pathir Pheni.
