Dal is a lentil or legume based dish that forms the quintessential part of any Indian meal. Packed with protein, this hearty dish is both comforting and delicious.
Ingredients used to make dal recipes vary from region to region in India. In my home state of Andhra, we call dal pappu and it is usually made spicy and with vegetables. Like this thotakura pappu or this dosakaya pappu.
